Anemone nemorosa

White, daisy-like flowers held over finely cut foliage, good in deciduous shade with leaf mould rich soil.

Native to British deciduous woods, where it is commonly known as the Windflower.  The flowers have six white petals with light yellow stamens, held above delicately cut dark green foliage tinged with purple.  It is just made for naturalising in cool shaded places with leaf-mould rich soil.  It grows to about 6” (15cm) height, with the flowers held above the leaves.

Planting instructions

Plant the tubers directly you receive them so they do not dry out.  Plant 2-3" (5-7.5cm) deep, laid horizontally in humus rich, moisture-retaining soil in part shade, ideally under deciduous trees or shrubs.
