Eucomis bicolor

Hundreds of pale grape green flowers cover the 15” flower stem, each beaded with a maroon edging and topped by pale green bracts. The stem often beautifully speckled with purple. Slowly turning into a succulent seed head of autumn architectural interest. Allow 10” spread. They can also make good pot plants on a sunny, but not baked terrace (where they will need some regular watering). August and September flowering to 18” tall.
