Galtonia candicans

Elegant and stately with hanging waxy glistening milk white bells. Allow 6” spacing. South African in origin but tough enough to leave in the ground as long as it does not get flooded in winter. (If in doubt they can be lifted in November and stored dry for the following March).The foliage is waxy blue-green, the stems reach 36” when well grown and a small thicket looks wonderful in July or August especially against a darker background. Do beware slugs early in the summer.
