Helleborus Pick and Mix

Helleborus orientalis are the Lent Lilies, in flower at any time from early February through to late March in some years. As herbaceous plants go they have to be some of the easiest - they will grow in sun or shade and are as tough as hobnail boots. They do like some moisture, too dry conditions are less good, but they will be with you for a long time so do prepare the ground well and fork in some well rotted muck. The only thing to do is to trim back all the old foliage in the early Spring, this exposes the flowers for better viewing and removes any diseased material allowing a clean start to the coming year.

These plants are sold as a "Pick and Mix" selection. We cannot be sure what will result, but if you order trhee we will try to make sure you get different coloured plants. All plants will have filled a 1L pot, some plants may have flowered this year already. They need about 24" spread.
