Belonging to the 'Star of Bethlehem' family, O.nutans is generally pretty tough, accomodating and perfect for naturalising in drier, lighter soils. It has very pretty soft silvery grey-green flowers, bluebell-like in stature lasting when picked. The folliage yellows at flowering time. It flowers in May, 9" (23.5cm) tall.

Planting instructions

Preferring better-drained soils, plant 3" (7.5 cm) apart, 12 per square foot.  They can be grown in light shade or even on fairly steep shady banks.
