Flaming Parrot is a soft clear primrose with flaming red stripes and curling fringes.  In the garden an eye-catching centre piece on strong stems standing 20" (50cm)  high which are good for cutting.  A more protected position would be sensible, the heads become heavy with water in rain and are then more affected by strong winds.

Alone or with any of the yellows perhaps?

Planting instructions

Plant 5" (12cm) deep and 5" (12cm) apart in a sunny or partly shaded position in well-drained soil.  Use fertiliser after flowering, and these bulbs will come again over some years.  Flowering in May.
